The experience I had with Perfect to Me Photography was absolutely amazing! I have been considering a boudoir photoshoot for a few years and am so glad I waited to find Amber and her studio. From the moment I saw her website, I knew this was the place for me. Seeing the gorgeous array of women represented in the photo gallery and before and after hair/makeup pictures drew me in. And my own experience certainly did not disappoint!
Makena did fantastic work with my hair and makeup while also making me feel really at ease and asking for my input throughout. Then Amber worked her magic helping me feel comfortable in front of the camera in lingerie-something I wasn’t sure I would be able to feel. Not only does Amber know how to capture people in their sexiest light, she helped me feel more confident in the moment by coaching me through poses in a way that led to truly stunning images! She took her time and made sure we got exactly what I wanted while also making fantastic suggestions for poses when I didn’t know quite what direction to go in.
The whole experience felt very safe, which was vital when spending hours in such a vulnerable space. She was also so patient with me as we reviewed the many pictures taken to pick out my final images and craft the perfect birthday gift of a photo album for my husband. I'm so glad I took the opportunity to do a shoot with Amber! I was a tad worried I just wouldn't be good at opening up but she made me feel so comfortable & helped me at every turn! I entered a self conscious, postpartum mother of two and left feeling confident and beautiful again. (Even before I saw the results!) I looked for over six months for a photography studio to do a personalized boudoir shoot. In my early forties, I am feeling myself love and thrown any care of what others think by the wayside! I look through gallery and gallery looking for something different - extra! I really couldn't qualify it, but I knew I would know when I found it.
Then, I found Amber's gallery on Perfect to Me Studio! I saw creative scenes, women who owned it, no cookie cutter here! When I called and spoke to her, it just felt right to book. I have a REALLY hard time with relenting control and showing any vulnerability, but Amber was up for the challenge! She would model what she wanted out of me, which helped me SO MUCH! Some of the photos were SO good... I didn't recognize myself (in the best way)!!! I can't even say I would recommend her, because that doesn't come close... Ladies, let me tell you about my experience with Amber. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. During my phone consultation with her I felt an instant connection. She was so personable and made sure she answered all my questions. Believe me, I ask a lot of dumb questions and she never seemed to be bothered by it. On the day of the shoot her and her makeup artist (Kena) were so welcoming and energized. They made sure you looked and felt like a million bucks. Now let me tell you about the shoot itself. She had so much energy, attention to detail, and she knew what was right for your body. The words of encouragement and the excitement behind every snap keep you going. Amber is very sweet and walks you through the whole process, she truly makes the experience individual for everyone. She goes off of your inspirations (whether that is reference photos or an idea you have but haven’t seen captivated yet) and the dream you have for the shoot itself. I walked in shy, embarrassed of my body, disliking many things. Amber is beyond a doubt talented with the way she can capture anybody. I truly am so glad I put my trust into her. I messaged Amber after going through a lot in life and feeling just bleh about myself but after being able to feel pampered and beautiful that can lift your spirits so much. She photographed me in such a way that I'm loving things I’ve never cared for before. She helps with everything, she answers any questions, always makes sure we were on the same page and I was getting what I wanted from this experience. Her makeup artist was amazing and sweet and we could talk for hours. You choose 3-4 scenes, bring outfits (though you may not use all of them), and the rest just comes together so well. I twisted the idea around for a while, looked at different places, and photographers in the area. Without a doubt, I would choose Amber again, 40 minute drive and all ! Wishing I had done something like this in my 20's instead of my 30's made me hesitant at first, and if you feel the same way, What a fun, elevating experience that every woman deserves at any age. I feel this truly was integral to my confidence especially after all the surgeries my body has been through. The women that make this happen are truly beautiful and welcoming in every way as I was comfortable and relaxed the entire session. I can’t say enough about Amber and her makeup artist and how comfortable I felt as soon as I walked in. I sat down in the chair while Makena did my hair and makeup, she was awesome and it was exactly what I wanted. We chatted and laughed and had a good time.
Amber and I had spoken on the phone before my appointment she asked if I had something in mind. I told her my husband was a paint contractor, she asked what I thought about doing body paint. I loved her idea and said “let’s do it”! I had other outfits that I took as well but was really looking forward to doing the paint. I ended up not just picking pictures for him, but also for myself. From the moment you get there you’re pampered, complimented, encouraged, and comfortable. Having my makeup and hair done professionally all while giggling and sipping on champagne – you think it doesn’t get any better than this. Think again! For me after putting on my glasses to look at myself, it was unreal. She did such a good job and gave me the confidence to go rock my photo shoot. Amber is just AMAZING! Originally intended to just get 12 photos for a calendar and ended up with 20+ pictures and prints! From the moment I arrived I felt pampered and sexy. Doing a boudoir shoot was something I have always wanted to do. I had lost a lot of my confidence after putting on some weight over the years and was hesitant to have pictures taken of me in general, let alone lingerie. I won a photoshoot and was really excited but also really nervous. Once I arrived and was in the chair for my hair and makeup, I got really excited! I wanted a natural look and curls in my hair, the artist did just that and made me look beautiful!
Amber was very helpful when it came time to take my pictures. She would get in the same pose so you can see how to do it and hypes you up the whole time during the shoot. There is music playing in the background to make you feel comfortable and there are funny moments to get you smiling and laughing, which were some of my favorite pics. I had such a fun time during my shoot and felt amazing. I definitely gained some of my confidence back. Once I got to see all my pictures, I had a hard time choosing my favorites. It was hard to believe that was really me!

As a bride-to-be searching for a unique gift for my future husband, I landed on the idea of completing a boudoir shoot to showcase his favorite thing, my body 😬 I had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted to do in terms of themes, but just had to find the right artist/photographer to make my vision into a reality.
